To add to my psychotherapy toolbelt, I am currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

EMDR is particularly useful when working with traumatic memories.
"During EMDR therapy you can tell me as much or as little as you like. We’re bringing a long term memory that has been bothering you into your working memory. We use bilateral stimulation -using left and right hand movements - at the same time to activate and dislodge these stuck, fragmented memories, allowing them to move across the brain. As we process, we minimise the emotional charge, allowing you to think differently about the experience."
This type of therapy can be accessed in person or online.
